Behind the Meme

"Tom" Cat was a main protagonist in the cartoon series Tom and Jerry. It ran from 1940 to 1958—beginning during World War 2. This popular meme depicts a common pattern of hurting ourselves when trying to fix a problem.

The character here resembles Kurt Cobain from the band Nirvana, who was a legend to many and subsequently took his own life.

The reactions peeps have for this shirt art pricelss.

People's faces and comments are priceless for this shirt. However I loved Nirvana when Kurt Cobain was alive. I'm also a huge fan of older cartoons like Tom & Jerry. So this shirt was a must.

    A morbid fan's niche.

I loved Nirvana the band before Kurt off'd himself. Then as a fan of old cartoons, one I saw this shirt I had to have it. The overall comments on it are great. The design is eye catching enough to get most people who know anything about the band to comment about it.
